BLOGGING - Naming your Blog

Blog Naming - This is one of the more creative parts of a blog. Selecting a suitable blog name can be fun and imaginative. Not everyone has a domain name from a website, but if you do include this in the thoughts for your blog name. Remembering even just a little thing like naming your blog, this is how your readers find you.
I associate my blog with the learning process of making money on the Internet, creating an income. Blogging plays a major roll in this part for me.
Naming your blog should portray your tone and your content. Let me show you an example, lets say Julie wanted to name her blog and really she did not use much imagination and chose a simple name like "Julie's Blog". Now maybe this is a true and accurate name, but does it give you any indication what the blog is about? Now Julie really wanted to talk about her dogs. Julie has the cutest dogs and loves them so much that she wants to share her photos etc with the world. A more accurate Blog Name would be "Julie's Cute Dog Images Blog", or to shorten "Julie's K-9 Images" or "Cute K-9 Blog". You could really let your imagination have fun with this one. This then becomes shorter more memorable, brief, easy to spell and describes the subject matter. Then add a few good tags at the end like dog photos, cute dogs, cute dog photos etc. Readers looking for cute dog photos etc will have their day lifted with these beautiful photos of Julie's dogs.
Whatever you choose for your Blog Name, remember it is permanent. Changing the name of your blog later on can be confusing for your readers, it wreaks havoc on any of your links and your credibility does not follow the new name.
Make sure your blog name is not already in use, so do some searches, as this also can be confusing for your readers. Please do not choose a name that can be an alter-ego "Julie Queen of Cute Dog photos" or alienating your readers by having a weird names like "Harry's Big Hairy Toe" not the best way to find Harry's Blog who likes writing about his collection of Roses. Harry's hairy toe can be funny for some, but it in many cases would be a site that would not make many readers want to read past the Title.
On your first Blog you may not have it all exactly the way you want everything, and you find that after writing your first blog you had an epiphany and the most fantastic name for your blog pops into your head. By all means start a new blog with the new title and re-write your blog to the new name, but once you start attracting an audience changes are not recommended. So if you have to change your blog name, do it early before your readers are established.
Please choose your Blog Name carefully and thoughtfully. Plan for your Blog Name to be along-term commitment. So use your imagination and have fun Blogging!

BLOGGING - Discovering Comments

Blogging - Interaction with your readers is what makes the difference between a website and a blog. To be able to converse with readers is an opportunity that purely website owners normally do not have the pleasure. Visitors to your blog have the opportunity to leave comments. Sometimes these comments are purely replying to your blog, or a suggestion or just a question for you to answer. Always make sure that you respond to any comments that require a response.

You can open the comments page by clicking on the comments tab. You will be opened to a new page. You can have your comments set to be checked first before you allowed them to be published. This is the preferred way, as there are plenty of not so nice people out there that always have the need to comment in very negative ways. After a comment is made it will be displayed in the comments section of your blog. The comment will usually have a label displaying the writers name and the date and time posted.

Not every blog allows comments, you can have your settings set for this, normally this is not the case unless the site gains so much popularity that the comments are overwhelmed by the sheer volume. I would recommend that you leave your comments turned on, as comments are the easiest way to learn and improve the content of your blog. Gaining valuable feedback about your blog is the best way to also involve your audience in your topic.

Unfortunately there is one draw back and that is spammers. They can take advantage of comments as easily as sending unwanted e-mail. Keeping comments on will always attract spammers, so set your settings to screen comments first. Spammers use your blog as a way of advertising their products with links etc. Some times these can be offensive, so beware. Just delete the inappropiate comments before publishing. You audience will appreciate your comments being of clean content.

Blogging - Creating a Topic for Profit

Planning a successful blog is the most important step before launching. You have to treat your blog as a business if you want to earn an income.
You would never start a McDonalds Franchise without planning first. A business plan to map out the profitability and goals before you begin.
A successful blog needs to have a good recipe.
Ingredients:
1 large scoop of setting your goals
1 cup or 2 of good writing content
Stir until smooth with regular updates
Topped with a good source of revenue
And serve generously to your reading audience

Blogs can be very quick to set up and start, especially if you have just enough of all the right ingredients, you will be able to accomplish a successful blog.
The topic you choose should have some public interest. You must consider that you would like to earn an income, so stick to the facts. Brainstorm several different topics and try to see which topic you get a response from. Research you topic and observe other blogs, it will help to get you started.
You really need a mass audience, so concentrate on your blog having mass appeal. A political blog can become a very popular blog, but most political issues are centered around a local area, so they can be limited. You may consider a blog about your favorite actor/actress. Especially someone that has been in the headlines lately. The bigger the star, the more we want to read about them. We have a natural curiosity.
Commit yourself to writing frequently. Now frequently could be described by one person as daily, but to someone else it could be three times a day. Try and pace yourself so that you keep it interesting. Do not force content and never copy work by other writers. Techniques and styles can be learned from other writers, but plagiarism is not cool.
Just as important as attracting traffic, so is the need for correct spelling and grammar. We may love to write, and we cannot all be English Teachers. Poorly written, misspelled or bad grammar will define the quality standard of your blogs.
Creating regular traffic is the first step to setting a successful path for a regular income.

WHAT IS A BLOG?

"Blog" the origin of the word Blog comes from the words "web log" which was used for a short time to describe entry logs on the web. It was quickly mashed into the one word "blog". Now the word "blog" now describes regularly updated posts on the internet. From the word "Blog" we now have "Bloggers" which is people who write and publish blogs, and Blogging the art of posting blogs. There has been a range of extensions to describe this wonderful past time. Slightly exaggerated wording has evolved nearly as rapidly as blogging itself.
Web log is nothing more than dated entries on the web sites. Blogs can vary as much as the writers who write them. The reason for starting a blog can be different for each individual. Many are motivated with reasons of enjoying the writing, looking for an income, the belief of what one person knows may help others or even just a way to communicate on the internet. Regardless of the reason that you have for starting a blog, you are creating a valuable service.
Hobbies create fantastic blogs, as they share information about a hobby that may be of interest to novices or experienced alike. You can make comments to share your view, or just to give a little insight on a subject that you are proud of.
Know how and technologies can be promoted so that we can always watch for trends, or just to see whats coming next. These Bloggers tell their audience about all sorts of exciting news, by keeping daily information on a favourite pastime updated daily.
Blogs can be informative, funny, funny pictures, charming stories or just family fun. More than anything that the readers find enjoyable.
Big companies like Google and Microsoft offer free blog sites to try and paint the face of friendly service. For these companies and many more like them, benefit from the business created by visitors to the blog.
You will find as you explore the worl of blogging, that not all blog writers provide a valuable service, they tend to ramble on incoherently, which makes these blogs not very entertaining.
So when you are ready to create your own blog, think seriously about what sort of blog you would like to write. Be certain to choose a topic that you have facts on, so that you can develop an audience that would like to follow each and every post.
Blogging is fast becoming the most widely read form of media, as blogging grows so does the audience it attracts. Blogging is also fast becoming a good way of earning an income. Many bloggers are professionals and the tools and information they provide can be invaluable.

BEWARE! There are too many Scams, Reviews and so called "Great Deals".

BEWARE! We hear so many reports and reviews on "what is a scam" and "what is not".
The whole internetmarketing, work from home or business online can be daunting.
Many are only out to sell ebooks, which can be good and a learning experience, but if they do not offer the follow through set up and on going support, you will not generally as a rule receive an income that you will be happy with.

As a rule you need to be able to contact the compay in which you purchased your product and be able to obtain a refund if the product is not what you expected. Most will offer a 100% money back guarantee, but aware that very few actually honour this.

Make sure you forget about all the so called testimonals, and all the selling hype, including the "only 5 positions left" or "only 2 days left at this price" nonsense. Really have a look at what you are buying, then assume that it may work, but do not expect your money back.
  • Don't believe all the claims you read even the reviews
  • Don't buy anything until you have 3rd party proof
  • Plainly speaking: Don't get taken for a ride!

Which ever path you take, make sure that you try to give it a go. You will surprised how times I have heard the saying, it didn't work for me, but John made a fortune. What may be right for you, may not be right for others. You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. So try to have a drink if you can.

Blogging Fun - Designing & Presentation

Blogging - Creating a good design is very important. Presentation is a major factor which attracts people to your site. Blogging may not be the world of press articles, but these articles are important to you and your readers. Headlines and good subject/description headings are also a very major draw card.
Select your layout and then select all the coloring to suit what you would think is appealing. In the google blog area, you can follow simple steps. Just have a look around the site and the layout and setting page and you should find everything you will need. Re-arrange the positioning of the default set up in your template.
Now with the Blog up and running and you have written your first blog, you must feel good about yourself. Keep the feeling happening, and follow through with another well written article, but remember what you have learned about writing what you know. You will find numerous pages on most subjects, but everything you write is yours. At first don't dwell on whether you are getting readers or not. Just enjoy what you are doing.
Traffic to your blog will eventually come, and then you will have readers waiting on what you will write next. Do not change subject too quickly. Go as far as you can on one subject and then slowly make the change to the next one.
All important, is you must submit more articles to your blog, as regular as possible. If you would like to attract more traffic, then everyday articles are a good way of doing this.
There are many ebook writers/sellers out there that will give you a great deal of information. Many may be called scams, but as the truth been known, you may feel frustrated that you are not gaining a thousand dollar a week promise, but utilise the information you are given and learn from it.
One of the best for information is "ProfitLance". This site carries a good quantity and quality of ebooks. They even give you information on Blogging.
Amazon also sells good books on different Blogging/Marketing & Affiliate information.
Please remember to enjoy yourself.

Blogging - Join the Fun - Blog Marketing

Blogging makes advertising on the internet so simple. Linking your affliates can add a little spice to all this fun.
Once you have created your blogging account, selecting a topic couldn't be easier. Talk about what you know and if you are not sure about all the facts on your topic, you can research on the internet.
People are hungry for information, and we are looking to the internet to feed our hunger.
After you feel confident to choose your own topic, you can literally pull many blog chapters to keep you going for at least a week before you move onto the next topic. If you are smart enough to look around and determine what interests you and those around you.
Think of recent problems that you have solved. Just think you may not have been the only one with that particular problem. Just like what I am doing now.
People love to read how others have solved a problem that you currently have. So brainstorm a list of problems in your life and in the lives of those around you. Your closest friend just lost his/her job. Your sister's little girl had whooping cough. How have they coped and were solutions found? Everyday problems are the subject that people love to read about. We love to solve problems, and now we can write about them, and maybe just maybe you may have helped someone else.
This then leads to using this talent more and more often, and adding links of your affliates to your blog to start your internet income.

Making Money on the Internet - Is it really what you want?

I am like many other people who have asked that very question. Is working from home, trying to make some extra cash on the internet really worth getting caught by all the frauds.
I started reading as much as I could, keeping an open mind. There was just so much out there, that I did not know where to start.
I have been burnt a few times, buying products or so called product that if you do this or that it will make you $$$$$. My paypal account has quite a long list of transactions that were just a waste of time. Getting a refund was like trying to get blood out of a stone.
Points which you should make sure you do!
Observe what is going on around you!
Find the things that you are interested in and see where it takes you.
If you like writing then you could start by getting a blog like this one up and running. There are many free blog sites, just go to google or any search engine and type in blog or blogging. To learn how to use Blogs, do another search and type in the words "blogging tutorial" I am sure that you will find the information you need.
Once you have posted a few blogs, you will get the hang of it. Enjoy!

Affiliate Marketing - Do You Have What it Takes to Succeed in Affiliate Marketing?

I made the decision a few months ago to try my hand at internet marketing. Honestly, I had no clue what I was getting into. I had no idea exactly what the industry was like or how difficult it can be to make money. I read all of the ads and hype about how quickly I would be raking in the bucks as long as I followed such and such plan or bought this or that ebook. One concept that did catch my eye and made more sense than most was the idea of affiliate marketing. Creating passive income appealed to me. So, I did find one or two really good books on affiliate marketing and began my new adventure. I had no idea that there would be so much to figure out, and that it would take quite a bit of time and effort to start really seeing results.

Time and effort. These are the two schools of thought that seem to escape many people who go into affiliate marketing with the idea that putting a banner on a website or blog will be enough. I had the same thought. Since that's not the case of course, they become disgruntled and start blaming the industry rather than taking more time to learn and try new techniques. What are the most important skills and attributes that a person must embrace before they can expect to succeed in affiliate marketing?
Must be willing to invest time and effort into building their new business. The desired outcome will not occur overnight, there will not be immediate results, but consistency and determination do produce positive results.
